Welcome to our online Math Problem Solving Poster exhibit.
In this post you will see an array of constructed posters by the grade 87 summer school split class.
The students were introduced to photography and worked on using composition, colour saturation, contrast, and tilt shift focus to construct an enticing photo.
Using the application OVER the students then added a specific quote to go with the photo to make a poster that is a motivational guide to problem solving.
Browse and comment on these tremendous creations.
The pictures are listed below and categorized
Look at the photos and then comment specifically about 5 of them in the appropriate area
Comment on the effectiveness of the poster as a Math Problem Solving guide
Is the quote helpful?
Is the photo and quote a good combination?
How is the quality and creativity of the photo?
these are all things that can be commented on
We want to be positive and encouraging but at the same time provide feedback that will lead to improvement next time.

ReplyDeleteThat is a great photo, the blur on anil is just right. Not too much that the he is not visible or too less that the focus of the picture is on him. I love the ball just popping in the corner.
DeleteThe only feed back I would say is: I don't get how the quote relates to math. Leave what alone, and why isolate it. I think you should make it relate it more to math.
Overall the picture is really good great use of Tilt shift focus, to emphasis the soccer all. The angle is quite clever, low and able to put so much in the picture with great organization!
If you look at the picture there are a whole bunch of basketballs in the background, and there is only one soccer ball which the focus is on. That's means the soccer ball was being isolated.
DeleteIt's a nice connection but if you look at the picture the first time, it's hard to understand. Despite from the fact that it's a great picture. Almost like a professional.
DeleteYour picture was very well edited, although I don't quite understand the quote, maybe you could have made it more clearer
DeleteI really like the idea of this math poster, on how you should isolate a certain part, or in this case a ball, because sometimes people would just forget this step, to isolate that one part in the equation.
DeleteI Iike the creativity and the way you have captured and edited the photo but I sort of don't understand how it relates to math. Also I disagree with the combination of the photo and quote. But it could be inspirational to people weather they get it or not. Plus great job with the capturing and editing
DeleteNice pic! :)
The way you made the poster is really good not only that but the amount of blur you put on Anil was just right so you could really put emphasis on the soccer ball!!!
DeleteGreat job guys^_^
The way you have edited the photo is great. But the photo itself could've been a lot better, then the quote itself would make much more sense. Overall it like your work just the picture is find not appropriate.
DeleteI love the picture it'a edits and effects are great as well as te lens light effect on the corner which I didn't notice at the beginning great use of the app blur, overall a great picture with a great contrast with the text great use of over
DeleteNow that Devesh said, I just realized that that is true -_-
DeleteThe poster is really nice and well edited. But I don't think it was very math related. I would suggest for the quote to be based on math since the picture is not based on math. Also I think the quote could have been more clear to understand. But overall it's a good poster
Deleteits hard to understand what the picture is about and the soccer ball in the corner is focused on so it goes with the quote, but its a great picture well edited all the effects are great including the lenslight effect in the corner, nicely blured not too much not too less, the angle of the picture was great and clever overall i really like the picture but i think you could make some changes in the quote to make it a little better.
Delete2. Dandelion
ReplyDeleteThe poster in my opinion is very good. The picture it's self is very well edited to make it look like a flower is growing out of the textbook. The quote as well in my opinion is math based and it can be used as a great tip. Both the picture and quote go well together especially with the colors and fonts of the text which are chosen. Overall I think that the poster is excellent.
DeleteFor feedback I would suggest for the picture to be a bit more brighter so that it would be more attractive, and I would suggest the font to be just a bit bigger.
Overall I think the poster is well math based, and planned out. It is great. Good job! :)
This was a very nice poster, the quote stands out and is completely related to math
DeleteAs feedback I would like to say that you could have used a better picture to represent show what you know
DeleteThinking of capturing the bees on a dandelion is very creative and it shows that the person who took that photo spent a lot of time getting the shot they wanted and the idea of adding the textbook by blending in the "show what you know" part makes it more unique. The quote is very catchy and is very direct to math since the purpose of the poster is to get others to show what they know; this would be very motivating for those who are solving a math problem. If the quote was slit into 2 parts, each part would represent each photo and I find that very clever. The poster itself is very creative and in terms of quality it looks like a one that was spent a lot of time on.
DeleteI really like the picture but I think the blending stopped it from being as great as it could have been
Delete3. Vader
ReplyDeleteI really like the effects you guys created with this picture, it looks really proffesional, I like your quote as well
DeleteThe picture is very nice, and I really like the quote. I just think that the white board pic didn't let it be blending properly.
DeleteI really like the picture and he effects they used to make the picture which was very creative, although if there were more bright colours it would be much more appealing to the eye. I also think that this math quote does not relate to math that much since it just tells you that math is success although they should be instead giving you tips on how to achieve success in math
DeleteJamin- the quote meant that darth vader who is the dark( in the quote), has math as the light that leads to success. It might to deep, but that's what it means.
DeleteOh I get it now thx
DeleteSo maybe I guess they should make the quote a little more direct so that everyone could easily understand their quote
The picture is great and well edited I like the way there is different layers of picture on top of the picture it's well tuned and the layers of the pictures are visible, I like the editing and the great use of lens light in darth vaders hand , great use of over putting a layer of text on top of another layer than just leaving it simple, and the colours of the text goes with a part of the picture, great use of different apps and I love the quote and how it also rhymes.
DeleteI really like this poster cause the way darth vader has the light in his hand and the quote and the rhyming I like that the most.
DeleteThe poster is nice but I would suggest for the quote to be a bit more clear. I couldn't understand the quote at first. And I can't really see the reason of the quote. Like I don't see how it is a tip for math. Other than that the picture and quote to very well together. I like how there is a bright light in the middle of the white board. That makes the poster look nice. But otherwise the poster is of good quality and is creative.
DeleteUsing symbolism in the poster was a unique idea and I liked how the quote was turned into a rhyme. I think the idea of blending in the 2 pictures was creative and the quote links directly into the picture that was taken. The quality of the pictures are nice with the angle for the whiteboard and darth vader by the lockers but after they were blended, I think it would've been better if the picture of the whiteboard was taken straight from the front. In my opinion, I like the idea of making a rhyme but even after having the term math o the poster, it doesn't really relate to math.
DeleteI really like how you guys used blender and both those pictures look insync with each other which makes it a great blend and it makes the picture look very effective. The lens flare looks Amazing! I can tell your showing how vader has the power to success. I believe your picture is the only one that used blender which makes it very unique and different then the rest of the pictures. Overall it's a high quality picture!
Delete4. Shootout
ReplyDeleteI really liked the brightness and contrast you added since it was very appealing to the eye. Also the angle which the picture was taken from was very good since it really helps make the kickers foot stand out so the viewer only focuses on the kicker they also help make the kicker stand out by blurring out the sorrounding things a bit so that the focus comes on the kicker. Although, I think that they should have made the quote more related to math as the quote is more towards sports. They could have added more math terms and such.
DeleteThe quote means find your solution, and the goal is the goalpost but also a goal is a objective. In math the goal is to find the solution.
Delete“find your solution and strive until you get to our goal” in my opinion this is a great quote and does relate to math!!!! The group had just chosen to use soccer as the theme (which is clever).
DeleteThe quote does relate to math and all but it does quite give me the WOW feeling. It isn't that helpful or insertional but remember that is in my point of view!
Yea of course the combination do the picture and quote are FANTASTIC! It's combo is perfect like a cold and icy lemonade on a hot day with your friends at wonderland;) I state this because the picture says "goal & strive" so the group must have used soccer as a theme since the two words both have a relation with it.
The quantity is on point, I personally love how the grass and rajveers shoes have that amazing blend of green!!! On the creative side I like the pictures view from the bottom but it's something basic and seen a lot all ready something else would have been more useful.
Over all I LOVE THE PICTURE <3 :)
I think the quote and picture combo is cleverly used in this picture. It relates to both math and sports. Knowing a lot of people and their love for sports, this just seems very relatable. Even though I mentioned the use of the quote going along with the picture is nice, it does not right away scream math to me. I feel like if you were to show this to someone who did not know the project, they wouldn't quickly relate it to math. As well as I would not really consider it a tip. Plus I do think fonts could have been better, as the word "solution" kind of blended in with the grass. But I like the creativity, relating math with sports is nicely done.
DeleteI really like the quality of your picture. And truly your quote makes it easier to understand.
DeleteThe poster in my opinion looks great, but I feel like it could have been more math based. The picture is not based on math, so the quote should have been. It is kind of, but yet it is still very general. The quote is "find your solution..............." But the reason and purpose of the poster is to help someone find their solution. The quote was supposed to help the person find the answer/solution to their math problem. But it still is a very good poster.
DeleteThe quote is helpful for in life for anything, but it could have been changed so that it was more helpful for math. The quote is helpful as a tip though. I can see that it means to persevere, which is very important when doing anything.
The photo and the quote are a very good combination. I like how the quote states " .......until you reach your GOAL" I liked how the quote stated 'goal' while the picture was someone striving to reach their goal. The quote also stood out, and it wasn't hidden in the picture. The right fonts and colours were used, which was good. The combination in my opinion was excellent.
The quality and creativity of this picture was good. The picture is taken from a nice bottom angle, and is edited nicely too. The poster is also very creative by how the word "goal" was used. Overall the poster is good, and is a good tip.
I like this poster because the pic goes with the quote and the poster pertains to math , I like how the key words stand out that was a good touch of the font and the colour of the text
DeleteI really like how you represented your quote, your angle of photo was very unique, and the meaning really comes out of it, I found it a very appealing picture.
DeleteThe quote is supposed to inspire kids to try hard to finish the question. So they won't give up trying. For example when ever we try to do a problem in a book with answers in the back , we tend to cheat. Not always bit when you have given up, this quote is to motivate the kids to never give up and get your solution.
DeleteThe quote is helpful for every thing you want to achieve in liife I liked the quote to
DeleteI really like the photo, the natural blur, the saturation and the contrast and very good use of HDR scape to make those clouds work. I like the quote it's really well thought of but I think the font and colours were a bit random but overall great photo! Good composition!
DeleteThis picture was taken at a great angle and the editing was really nice. I just think the fonts and their colours could have changed a bit so that it didn't camouflage into the grass.
DeleteGreat picture,it has a great contrast interms of the use over, the text's colours go with the image that bring good contrast. I like the quality of the picture and it's quote, it has been taken from a very clever angle. The quote itself is very inspirational when it comes to accomplishing a goal.
DeleteI really like the idea of your math poster, because you always need to try until you get there, the final destination, or for math, the salut on, because you know there is going to be a lot go trial and error
DeleteTaking this picture was a very great idea to relate it to your picture but I think with the idea of soccer, the focus on math was lost. This seems to be more of a general poster because the quote can be applied to any problem. The connection between the quote and picture is very strong but I think if a few math terms were added, it would change the theme of the poster. I really liked the quote as a general motivating statement because everyone who has a problem needs to find a solution. The quality of the photo is great; it was edited just to make it pop out a little more and to put the emphasis on the soccer ball and the net without making it look overedited. My only feed back for this one would be to relate the quote more to math but other that, this is a great poster.
Delete5. Pencil Crayon
ReplyDeleteI really like this photo . What stood out for me the most was the quote and u could tell how it relates to math .
DeleteYou can't always relay on your tools when solving a problem sometimes you have to relay on the biggest thing that will help you at times your brain .
This quote works very nicely and to me has a deeper message than jugs what the picture portrays .
For an example in class we have problem of the week perhaps one could include using a protractor , well there you go that's your tool but that simply won't find your answer it's just there to help you find a answer .
The only way one is going to find a answer is with this thing called his/her brain . Because anyone could have to tool but not everyone will know how to use the tool .
The mind has challenges and the tools won't always answer the problem it will help answer the problem . This also can relate to life . You see it's almost like sports you train and in math or other situations you can train your mind but making the concept stay in your mind by practicing or from the challenges we have in sport I say that the challenge could be the other team and the training is the practice . It's the same for math the challenge is the question and the training is your brain working and practicing . Sometimes the tools are for help but one needs to use what's up there in the brain to solve the answer with help from the tool .
I really like the message this picture sends out .
Just *
DeleteI really like your picture, it is simple yet it has a lot of meaning, it has verry nice editing done, it looks very professional, and your quote is very motivational. I like the white background and the way that the pencil crayons pop to life with colour. Your quote and they way you edited your quote looks very nice and colourful just like your picture.
DeleteI like the fact that you highlighted a very important thing in this picture is that you cannot always rely on tools for the correct solution. Instead you should always count on one thing that is very important and valuable: your brain.
So overall very nicely depicted poster and both the picture and quote correspond nicely with each other.
A very nicely edited* picture...
DeleteI love the order and organization of the crayons! So well thought! I love how the natural colours of the crayons go from lighter to darker shades. I like the different position as well; it goes up to down. Good use of saturation to make the photo stand out. The text matches the colours of the crayons and it also matches the pictures. They use tools in their photo as they said in their quote. I like it!
DeleteI really like this picture because of the colours great work!
DeleteI really liked the quote because it refers to math I really liked how the pencil crayon is put in different ways and not just all together. The quote is very nice and I liked how you choose the colours of the pencil crayons I thought it was unique.
DeleteI love the pattern of the crayons nice bright colours that catch my attention, overall well done guys great poster
DeleteThe picture and quote is very nice. It could have been better if you changed the fonts a bit. And maybe even the colours.
Delete6. Whiteboard
ReplyDeleteI really liked the quote because it helps a lot in the real world actually relates to math although the picture was not that good and it was not that much attracting. I think that maybe if you had a better plan then the picture would be a bit better and more attracting. But the main thing is that your quote was really helpful and meaningful. The font of the quote was very good since you do not use just one boring and simple font and tried to explore with many different fonts
DeleteThe quote really stood out to me , I found it very interesting, I can see that you have made good use of over, overall nice poster
DeleteThe quote in my opinion was outstanding! I love the colours and I love the fonts that were used. I like how the whiteboard isn't center on the grid but I believe that you could have gone a bit more creative and snapped a photo of something that doesn't exactly give the message away. The quote is a bit broad and so many things can relate to it. Reading the quote will make people wonder "hmm, I wonder what this quote is specifically referring to" then they look at the side and there is a whiteboard giving it away that it was all math. It would have been a better photo if the picture was zoomed into a section of what was written on the whiteboard.
DeleteI really like your quote and I find the quote really important because you should plot out everything before you find a solution. For example if you don't plot anything and you go straight to the solution you won't know how you tour answer because you didn't plan it out before. In which I think this a very important quote because plotting is the base of finding the solution. I like how you showed Subhan plotting out the problem and you added a little lens flare on the side of the boarded to make it really stand out. Also I like how you guys blurred out the lockers to only show focus on the boarded and the quote. But I think the three main words which were Problem, Acknowledge and Given should have been in a different colour because the dark blue blends in with the black blurred out lockers which make it a little harder to read. But otherwise I think your hardworking paid of!!
DeleteI think the quote was really nice so was the picture but I think it would have looked better in a different location. But It really makes sense since you learn math in school and it's located in the school so yeah. And the white board adds a lot of colour to the picture . The quote should be more colourful than the white board in my opinion. Besides that great picture.
DeleteThis is a great poster, it relates back to math and when we do problem of the week. It makes sense and relates back to the quote. Overall great work guys
Delete7. Textbook
ReplyDeleteI like the quote used it the picture #Believe. But the layout if the picture is something that could be changed. There's a big gap, with just a text book . There isn't anything appealing about a test book. What the picture focuses on could be changed to perhaps something better. But I do like the font, and how it show cases the 2 key words (achieve/#believe). The quote is nice , but the picture could have been better.
DeleteYour quote is very inspirational, and I love the way you used over to create the font pattern. It is creative. Overall nice picture
DeleteThe poster is nice, as well as the use of the text book directly to math. As a feedback you could have used a picture that matches the quote more. Overall a nice idea.
DeleteThis poster is great, as soon as you see it you directly connect it to math, well edited, and as what srushti said the picture could have been different, overall great work guys
DeleteThis comment has been removed by the author.
Deletein my say i say that the quote is pretty helpful and inspirational. the quote is something that grabs my attention and gives me a good feeling (i don't know why). i agree with the quote 100% its true first believe then you can achieve :D
Deletethe picture and quote don't really have a strong connection. i say that you could have found a better picture to take maybe of a test that says 100% or something the shows the believing can make a difference. a math text book doesn't really give that touch that makes it perfecto!!!
the creativity of the picture is a basic, as i said before a different picture would have been better. and something else i would say is that the white text camouflages into the book near the ending, and i don't seem to find a place for red in the picture its sort of out of no where.
over all i think that your quote is perfecto and its an amazing picture (no one is perfect ;) )
8. Red Marker
ReplyDeleteI like the idea a lot and the photo is great but I think Anil should have been in focus instead of blurred out. I also like the symbols and equations on the photo and I like the spot you put the quote in, but I'm unsure how the quote matches the picture. Overall good photo!
DeleteI find that your math poster is good and that that content, not so much the picture, but the words make a lot of sense, " math is the problem, and buried in every problem is the solution, that quote is very relevant to the fact that this is a MATH poster, and on top of that, this applies for other things such as science.
DeleteAnil was blurred out cause at firsts he was to mush into focus. And there is supposed to be a transparent glass that he is writing on.
DeleteThe kind of idea that you used was really nice. So was your edit. I found your picture to be pretty interesting. And I strongly agree with your quote. And all the other details that you added in the pictures(also the quote) made it look even more better and like a poster, instead of just an edited picture.
DeleteThe creativity in this photo to me is very good ! I really like the idea of the screen being the chalk board .
DeleteIt's like a mirror image too me . A see threw one and I really like how it is laid out .
The edit here is all related to math and yes it is very nice ! I like it a lot. But I would say that since the photo is strongly related to math the quote could have been a little less and related to life or problems everyday but still math .
I also like the quote of this picture it does make sense especially when related to math personally to me this quote means to keep digging for an answer because right now there is a problem but with in every problem is a solution . I would suggest making the quote a little more less math .
Overall the photo is good very creative in my eyes .its my first time seeing a picture like it .
I like the clever use of over adding artwork, and how the key words stand out the quote was strong and it corresponds with the picture,it's really detailed and the editing makes it look more like a poster than a picture with text on it.
DeleteThe quote is great but I've heard "buried in is the answer" already maybe you guys could have created a new quote I now it would have been better. The quote is very helpful and does have a valid point that the solution is always inside the problem.
DeleteThe photo and the quote have a strong connection as Anil is the teacher and it almost seems like he came up with the quote is is going to tell it to his students.
The quantity is okay but if don't think you should have blurred out nails face, it give the picture too much blur, the creativity I would give a 4++++++ I love it how nail has the red marker and then you guys added a circle there!!!! It seems like anil is writing on my screen :)
Okay so there are a few things you can change but I LOVE the creativity of the picture it's something new I saw for the first time *clapping*
I like this poster, the quote pertains to math, I thi that anil was not supposed to be the centre of attention that's why he was blurred instead I think that the quote and every thing else was supposed to be the attention grabber
DeleteBut I would like to give you only one feedback. Which is that Anil's face was blurred. Next time you might not want to to do that. But it was a really nice poster.
DeleteThis was a brilliant idea and I love the creativity in it. I like how you paid attention to clothing and gave Anil something more modern and professional that made him look like the instructor. I understand why you blurred out Anil a bit and I can see that if he wasn't blurred out, the math work and text on top will be badly noticeable. I think blur was necessary on Anil but I think it's a little too much. I love this poster but it would have an even better photo if his face wasn't too blurry. One of my favourite posters! Love the work!
DeleteI really liked this idea I think it is really unique and creative.
Delete9. Basketball
ReplyDeleteI really like your picture, you captured the perfect picture and the quote corresponds verry well with tithe text stands out, this relates to math and is a very helpful tip
DeleteI like the idea of the photo and the edit making it a suitable dark is great but I think the text is a bit randomly placed, the quote makes perfect sense and it has good chemistry with the photo but the text I think can be better planned.
DeleteIt was a really good quote. And you are right trial and error are the Key to success in math or any other subject. Not only that your picture was great. Nicely edited so everything stands out it has much more saturation more contrast also that little bit of blur that you added was a nice touch. And on top of all this the way you have made you text is amazing multiple layers to it diffrent colors it really does stand out. Overall a great picture
DeleteI really like how the picture is edited, and I assume it must have been hard capturing a shot coming down from the net, but you guys did very good when it comes to effects. Ii really likes the text is stood out to me but I think it would have looked better with the colours in the image that will make the contrast. Overall great work, and editing
DeleteThe picture was pretty good, but I kind of agree with DeAndre when he said it looks like the text was placed randomly. Other than that I think this picture was okay
DeleteI liked how you used sports and included math with it. The quote made sense because whenever you do something wrong you can always learn from your mistakes. I also really liked how you used different colours for the wording and that made it stand out. Great picture.
Delete10. The Rose
ReplyDeleteI real like the way how the roses, both black and red, show the connection to math. How the negatives turn into positive.
DeleteI love the way you guys are connecting nature to math, and it is true negatives turn into positives, and even sometimes it's reverse. I also like the use of over on this rose image. Overall I assume it's a nice edited poster
DeleteThis picture and quote are different and fascinating. The way that the quote connects to the picture is just amazing. The black rose proves the negative point, while the red rose proves the positive point.
DeleteThis is a very creative picture and I really like the way math was linked into nature. The quote used for this picture is direct to what objects were focused on and it is inspiring because it shows what are the positives and negatives so people would want to "turn the negatives into positives". The quality of this picture is very detailed; it was kept in mind that both roses needed to be seen yet the whole picture couldn't be clear and even with the writing on top, you can see what it is that supports the quote.
DeleteI really like this poster and the most interesting part of the poster was that you described the two roses in a mathematical vocabulary negative ad positive by which anyone can tell that this poster's theme is math , I really liked this poster.
DeleteThis is a really great picture. The angle, the editing, the way it shows the negatives and the positives; I really like it!
DeleteThis is a great photo, I like the composition, really good blur and I really like the idea in general with the dead roses in the background. The quote and the picture have great chemistry and the text was very well placed and well planned. Great photo, great edit.
DeleteI really liked this poster I loved how the picture was taken with the roses and the colour of it made it stand out I liked how the colour of the rose represent the positives and the negatives. And the quote also represented math. Overall great picture.
DeleteI really like the quote and the picture is very nice. I like the way you represented the quote
DeleteThough the picture was really nice, one feedback I would give you I would give you is that you should have made the red rose and the quote the only thing standing out. Because when I looked at the picture I happened to notice that there something at the back, maybe a leaf or something, which you guys used the app COLOUR EFFECTS and coloured it green. That to bright. It kind of stood out a lot. And since it was a detailed thing that you coloured green the colour also went out of it. You hold have just made it all black or grey. So the red rose would stand out the most.
DeleteThis is a awesome picture with so many things compacted in it. I love the blurred affect on the dead flower ( I think) and the real focus is the big flower.
DeleteThe quote relates so perfectly to math and life. Negatives and positives in life and Integers in math.
This was a very clever shot.
Maybe the writing of the quote should have been a little smaller it looks so clustered.
The blur was too strong I didn't quite get,
Anything going on in the back ground, the only thing in the picture is the flower.
Over all it is a great photo. Great set up, and clever angle!
11. Key
ReplyDeleteI like the use of lens light on the key, which makes it look more attractive, I also like the quote, the key always leads to a final solution
DeleteI personally found this a very motivational poster, I really like the effects created with the key. Your quote corresponds with it, if someone were to refer to this poster in math problem solving, I think they would find it very motivational.
DeleteThe poster is really nice and a really nice quote. It sure is inspirational. As well the brightness makes the key stand out a lot.
DeleteThis is a awesome picture, the little light really brings focus onto the key. The angle it is taken from is very clever, not directly straight. The distance is also nice, is gets enough info into the pic, to make the picture relate to the quote. The door is barricade to the solution, and the key unlocks it to reveal the answer. Very clever, how ever the quote is great just the layout and font really got me confused. Overall it is a extraordinary photo!! Great composition!
DeleteThis comment has been removed by the author.
DeleteI really like the key poster because it's like your unlocking the problem and getting the solution and that key will help you unlock it. I like how you used the effects with the key it makes it stand out and I really liked the quote it really showed math.
DeleteI really love this creation! This has to be one of my favourite of photos on the blog, for the following reason:
DeleteThe photo is simple yet very telling. The clearness of the photo is what makes it so effective. As you see in the photo, not much is going on. All you see is the key which is the main point and item In the picture. Sometimes In my opinion overdoing something kills it, simple can be better in most cases.
I think it was a great idea to use tilt shift focus on the photo because the blur all of a sudden makes the key and the hand in the photo, pop and stand out.
I am completely sold by the text added on the image. If it were to be just the edited image itself, there would be confusion of what it relates to. I think the quote is a well put together quote that gives a clear understanding of what the picture has to do with it. Although the quote doesn't directly state the word math, we can easily relate and make connections to it.
I like how the main focus of the photo isn't dead center but It is slightly off center to the right of the photo. I like the angle of the photo and think that it was a good idea to take it from a side view rather than a view from the door or a view from the person holding your key. This angle indicates that the photographer was aware about the spacing and angle to add text.
Speaking of text, I see 3 different types of fonts. I like how the main and key words are different fonts from the other non focused words. The words problem and solution are the same fonts with the same colour and boldness. The font is thick and rich comparing to the non key words that are thin and cursive.
I can easily see the choice of colour chosen. Simple and effective as I mentioned before. 3 simple colours... black, red, and yellow. It was smart to make the font colours the same colours that appear in some part of the image.
The photo and quote match and make a good connection with each other. As I can see, there isn't symbolism in the picture so we instantaneously get the message. Very good quality photo.
I like it! Thumbs up guys!
I found this poster really creative I really like the way you used lens light, the quote is very inspirational, the quote corresponds well with the picture.
DeleteOh almost forgot! The lens flare In the key hole was a great idea
DeleteThis photo to me is awesome ! Being honest I wouldn't want to change anything about it .
DeleteI really like the fonts used here , it's like a pattern and it is laid out very organized and pleasant .
The way the lens light was use here was very creative . It's like a burst of light ! It emphasizes the key and makes the photo Relate to the quote so much more ! The edit is good .
The quote also was very good . I looked at the quote and I said in my head "wow this could relate Ito math and various of situations" .
We often only want the solution that we will just work to get a answer wig out taking our time to understand it .
But the quote simply states to find a solution you should understand the problem . It's the answer to finding the solution . As instine once said " the formulation of the problem is more important then the solution" it relates to this quote to me . Understanding is more important than the solution in order to get the solution one most understand the problem .
I really like this poster. I think that the tip is very useful and helpful. As we watched the video recently it said that realizing the problem is the key to the solution. I really like the quote, and I think that it could inspire people. So overall I think that the quote is useful.
DeleteI think that the picture and the quote go really well together. I really like the creativity where the quote says " understanding the problem is the KEY to getting the solution" while the main focus of the picture is the key. I think that was very creative.
So overall I think the picture is excellent. It is great. It is a great math tip, while it is creative.
But I would suggest making the quote a bit more math based since the picture is not based on math. The quote is kind of general, as it can be used in any situation which includes a problem. But other than that the poster was great!
To be honest, this was the picture that stood out to me the most. The idea of editing with lens flare onto the key hole was just amazing itself. I also think that the quote goes perfect with this photo. Great photo!
DeleteThe lenslight on the key makes it stand out which was a great idea, since you had also made the word KEY stand out in the quote. And your quote is very true. As well as the edit was great. The was not too less, nor to much. It was in the middle. And the quote made perfect sense and connection to the picture.
DeleteI think this is one of the pictures where I actually just really like both the picture and the text!! It works spot on as a math poster. It relates to math, yet it still keeps that poster vibe. The quote it's self I find highly exceptional. It fits in with the picture nicely! Personally I like those posters that the pictures it self has really nothing to do with the picture, it would just a deep meaning. This picture does the compete opposite, yet I still think it was done with a phenomenal manner. The use of lens light is nicely done, the what I believe is the use of tilt shift is well done, and the contrast on the hand (I think) is really neat. But there is one thing I think kind of is a "turn off". I feel like the font could of been better chosen. It looks nice don't get me wrong, but the word "key" could have still had the same effect just a different font. But overall this picture is a big fat thumbs up.
DeleteI LOVE THIS POSTER!!!!!!!!!!!
DeleteIt's amazing!!!!!!! maybe even AWESOME!!!!!!!!!!
The quote is magnificent, yes it's an amazing and very inspiring quote. It lets everyone know that first understand the problem them go ahead to the solution.
The quote and picture have a 40-60% connection. I feel that it doesn't relate fully to the quote. While the quote is very broad and wide the picture inky shows me a key, there isn't that KABOM in the picture and the quotes relationship.
The creativity is beautifully amazing I'm delighted by the key shining with lens light and how subhans raptors wrist band has red and then you used red in the text, also that the yellow for the key comes from the key!!! :D
I really like this picture. The 3 fonts you used look good together, the angle is very nice, and the editing is very well done. Oh and you used great colours to go with the picture.
DeleteI REALLY LIKE this poster the pic is just amazing the quote goes with the pic sooooooo wellll I really like how the key is unlocking or locking the door really really stands out it looks perfectly awesome!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
DeleteWhat can I say the picture explains it all! The picture looks very well organized the words are in the right place, they aren't blocking anything and the angle which the picture has been taken in is brilliant! It's not just a straight boring picture but the picture itself expresses a lot. I love how everything is blurred but subhan's hand and the key. The lens flare is used appropriately and it isn't just placed anywhere just to make the picture shine and look nice. But the flare has a strong purpose in picture. I would say the picture itself is self explanatory and it doesn't even need the quote. The words weren't just random colours but they matched the picture and the main think key was in a bright colour which made it stand out then the rest of the words which were a darker colour. I would say this picture is a picture to frame amazing picture and incredible editing skills!! Good work guys!!!!
Delete12. Chart Paper
ReplyDeleteI really like the angle you took the photo from and how the bright colours of the letters contrast really well.
DeleteI think that this is a well photo. The Contrast and the saturation is nice and I can see that there is blur on the top of the photo all the way to the top middle so the letters ABC stand out. The text matches the colours in the photo so that's a nice touch. The quote makes you feel good about yourself so it is a inspiring one. The quote doesn't say math in it, but the picture sure does. If the angle of the photo was a little more planned and experimented with, it would have been a high composition photo.
DeleteI liked how you blur the picture in the background so that I really makes the paper and table pop
Deleteand stand and stand out more.
Delete13. Paths
ReplyDeleteI really like this picture because the font they used was not a simple and boring font which a lot of people usually use just because it saves time, although it looks like they used Over which could take a lot of time but came up with a creative idea of stacking different layers of fonts over each other to make it outstanding to the eye. Another magnificent thing they did was they increased the saturation a lot and increases the brightness so it would be more appealing to the eye and at the same time they added a little blur so that the unnessary details would not be included. I also like their quote because it actually relates to math a lot since there are a lot of paths in math and a lot of solutions and ways to get to the answer.
DeleteThis picture was well done. But it could have improved on the combination. The quote is nice and all but it could have been better if the picture and angles went with it nicely. Overall it's a pretty good picture with a nice tip.
DeleteOverall great picture great concept. love how you only used 2 diffrent fonts and colors and still make it so interesting. Also your picture was wonderful great idea. Not only was the picture great the way you edited was amazing.
DeleteIt is a very intelligent and unique kind of picture. The way that you have shown 2 different paths in this picture, and mentioned in your quote that you need to try different ways. And with all of that your edit of the picture is really nice.
DeleteI love the way you guys show 2 paths as If they are a maze and how math is equivalent to a maze it self, great work and editing overall love the poster
DeleteThe picture is really nice, and good. But as a feedback I'd say that you could have gotten a better quote that represented different paths. Something that relates to math more, such as equations... But overall nice job!
DeleteI really like the way you how said it mostly because it's straight to the point, but it's true, this being a mth poster, the idea of is really emphasized because of your picture to
DeleteThis picture is a job well done. The editing really enhances the picture. The greens are like the perfect shade. The picture seems so simple yet so exquisite. Though in some cases, it may seem nicer to have a variety of fonts. I would say this the best example to when you should/could use just 1 font, and just like they did in the picture, use 2 main colours (their case, green and white). The quote does seem a little iffy to me, but the picture and quote collaborate very nicely . I like it! Great Job!
DeleteThis is a marvellous picture I can t wait to talk about it well here I goooooo!!!!!!!
DeleteThis is a very helpful quote not just in math but it also relates in life. When you say "try different ways" it just sells the whole picture. It's a ways to let everyone know keep trying, never give up and try new ways if you are stuck!!! (OMG that rhymed!! :D) So I say I my point if view that the quote was a brilliant and an inspirational quote which would help people if they are stuck.
The picture does relate to the quote and I can see how you used the two path ways for "try different ways" maze is a bit not clear to see in the picture but if you think about it clearly and deeply I say that the path ways may also be symbols for the maze as well.
The quality of the picture is on point. But something that I would have changed was the text. As you may have seen other groups had used a different font or colour for some of the important text. So words such as math, maze try, different, ways in differing colours and/or texts would have made this picture a 4+. For creativity it's pretty much the basics nothing that wowed me but still I dont know why but the picture is still amazing me.
So right now I would give the picture a 4
Great work
Wait... can someone kind of explain the quote an how it relates to math..? If no one can.. then something I would change is the quote if I haven't mentioned that before.
Delete14. Glasses
ReplyDeleteI really like the effects you guys created with the glasses as a brighter section and the rest dark, the quote correlates very nicely with the picture.
DeleteThe picture is quite nice and unique. Really like the way glass represent the whole picture, just like a photo bomb. As a feedback don't blur the photo too much, it would look really nice if you could see the a little more of the picture, at least from the glasses. But over all it was awesome!
DeleteI like how you guys used the blur effect and made everything else dark so the glasses pop out and the Quote relates to the picture.
DeleteI really liked the glasses poster because the quote had math involved in it and I really like the picture you took it had colour and you get an understanding what the poster is about. I liked how the background image had dark cloud surrounding the glasses then brightened the lens of the glasses and it made the picture pop up. I think this poster is inspirational and the quote goes with the poster and it relates to math.
DeleteI totally agree with the quote and it is 100% true. Many people give up early when they are solving a problem because the answer isn't coming to them and they think they should give up. But I think this quote gives them the drive to keep trying because sooner or later you will find the answer. I think the picture and the quote flow with each other perfectly we'll because the quote says how the solution isn't always clear to the eye in which you have to think "out of the box" to find the answer. I like how the back is blurred out and darkened and when you look through the glasses it the clear blue sky. The way the scenario through the glasses is warmer makes it really standout then the rest of the picture. Overall I'd say its a really inspirational quote and a high quality edited picture!
DeleteThis is a very unique picture and it shows that it took a lot of work to come up with the final result (there are many layers of over and there is a lot of selective editing). The first part of the quote doesn't relate a lot to the picture but the second part when it mentions about looking deeper to see it more clearer, it is kind of acts like a link that connects the picture to the quote. I personally really like the quote because the main part of the quote is solving problems but not only about math and everyone is always complaining about they may have.
DeleteI'm love how you darkened every thing around the glasses, it really made sence also the multiple layers of text was amazing honestly outstanding work. But in between the two lenses it was a bit bright compared to the rest but still great photo.
DeleteI really liked the effects that you guys used, if you guys made it a little brighter than it would be better since it would be more appealing to the eye. I also think that you guys put a bit too much words and could have put a bit less words on the poster so that the reader would not get too bored and eventually lose interest in your picture quickly.
DeleteI love this picture, it's really unique and outstanding, there is so much editing. And the blur effects are incredibly great. When you look into the glasses you can see a bright blue sky with some clouds, that extremely catch the attention. I only think that the picture is too blurred at the background and they are about over edited, that make the trees look dark. Overall great thinking
DeleteThe poster that you have done is a great picture. When I was looking through all the pictures this picture instantly took all my attention. The edits, the text, the quote, all of these things should be great to make the picture a really nice picture. And I could strongly say that your picture is a really nice picture. And the quote was just great.
DeleteAmazing photo, amazing idea. I really like the quote and the way it just makes the photo work. Great edit especially on the glasses making them pop so much and the blur just adds that really good touch. I don't think id change a thing on it, great edit!
DeleteI can see that you put a lot of time and effort making this picture I thought that this picture was most appealing to me because it really relates to the quote and how you layered the text.
DeleteI don't know where to start, this picture is loaded with so any things.
DeleteI just love the first person perspective. It sells the photo, when I look at this picture I feel Like I am literally the one taking off the glasses (even though I don't have glasses). It was a clever angle to take the photo from there. It looks like I now see the world much more clearly.
I think you guys messed up on some editing, when you look through the lens, the clouds are so blurry, weren't they supposed to be Clear. I think you added to much contrast, It works against the quote, the quote say "to see it clearer" when you look through the glasses it is quite blurry.
I don't know what happened, or if you even realized it but you guys added a bit too much or something and it became out of focus.
The dark shading does brink emphasis to the lens but it looks too artificial. While you guys used selective adjustive you made the outer part too artificial. I suggest that you should just use multiple layers of tilt shift focus, and that would have brought focus onto the lens of the glasses.
The quote ties in very well with the glasses, they represent seeing. And the quote is advising to look harder, make it clear and find your solution. It ties into the first part of think to the hand, understanding the problem. Understand it until it is so clear that you can explain it to a five year old.
Overall this is a well put together picture. Just a few mistakes, but still awesome!
The ides of taking a picture through tala pair of glasses was pretty cool. The darkening of the outside of the glasses was also great, however, I think that instead of making it have a black effect with all the same shade around the glasses, make it gradually lighter as it gets closer to the glasses. Otherwise, great photo.

Delete15. Time
ReplyDeleteYour idea is really nice, as well as a good use of over, but as a feed back next time don't blur the object that represents the picture! But your picture is still really great.
DeleteI really like Time because it's true often people like to rush at there work. The picture is really nice I really like how you guys used 4 different fonts instead of keeping it simple and making it the same font.
DeleteI really like the idea of your quote where you put the steps it take to solve a problem in the form of steps, the picture goes well with the quote.
DeleteI think the quote is a really good tip to those who love to rush and do their work. This quote doesn't only connect to math, but it also somehow connects to every subject or activity we do. The blur and fonts were actually done very well.
DeleteI could see the quote resembles to the object and that is a key factor because I should be able to tell how both the quote and the object relates and I was able to tell right away in this picture. I like the way you used the app over and how the main words stand out but still make the picture look nice. I like the way the style of each main word was different and was in a colour which wouldn't stand out to much to make the picture over edited. I would say the app over was an advantage for you guys and you used it appropriately even though you were just introduced to it a while ago! But just one tip when you edit your next picture, just like sushi said don't blur out the main thing in the object because it relates to the quote and it should out more then the rest of the picture but otherwise you guys did an amazing job!
DeleteI think that the picture really goes well with the quote and really tells us to to take our time to solve something properly.
DeleteThis photo is nice but I feel that the quote stands out and makes the picture said out more for me .
DeleteIt just relates to me more . It gives really good advice .
I know people including my self who rush work at times often to get it wrong . For me it's not that I don't know the what to do but it's usually wrong because I rush it and don"to check over my work . So this quote can relate to me not only in math but in English too and various of subjects .
In the font if this quote i really like how the pain lesson of the quote stands out , think , plan , and solve . It's like the main points are shown in ways that they stand out so most people get the point I think it was a good idea to mix and match fonts . It was also a really good idea to make those three main points different colours from the rest of the quote again it made it stand out much more and you could really see the 3 main tips of helping you solve a problem .
The photo was taken pretty good I like the angle the group used to take it . The only think different I would say to add in the future would a lens flare in the clock if most of us got comfortable with using lens light the app.
Again this photo was overall good . It really related to me that's why it stood out for me a lot .
- to be continued !!
16. Bike
ReplyDeleteI really like the picture, and the angle you shot it from, it was very creative to think of a bike, I like the quote as well, the poster is really motivational when you might need it for problem solving, I found your photo very creative
DeleteI really like the picture, the like represents there are many ways and parts for finding a solution when it comes to problem solving. One thing I will suggest is that the colours for the text should have the colours in the pictures, overall love the way it is edited and angled
DeleteI would say the picture it's self may be a little simple. But what I think "persuaded" me into commenting on it would be the quote. The quote it's self really gave me that sort of Ah Ha moment. Though I feel like the font could have been better chosen, What the font spelt out was what really caught my eye. The picture it's self seems pretty low key to me, though it's angle was quite neat. It does direct it's self to math, with out really directing its self to math, if that makes sense. I guess that's another feature I like about this picture. I can't say its motivational as it does not really aim to encourage. It's just straight up a tip, but with the clever use of a simile. I saturation/ contrast wise, I like the way it was edited. But the quote just really stuck out to me.
DeleteGreat photo great composition and great connection with the photo and the quote but the one thing I think you should've added to make the picture even better would have been to focus on the bike using tilt shift focus, but other than that great job!
DeleteThe quote is great but the picture doesn't quite of match to the your quote. The bike in the picture doesn't stand out very well. The walls stand out more then the bike does. If you were to blur out the walls. The bike would have stood out more. The contrast of colour was need more in order to make the poster better. Saturation might gave the cooler kind of feeling. There is a tdsb poster on the side that kills your poster a lot more then the walls. That should have been cropped out. Over all your poster is fine.
Delete17. Black and White
ReplyDeleteReally nice use of snap seed I'd say. As well the idea of taking a picture inside the desk. It looks great, and specially the black and white effects. I would say that the quote should have been a little more related to math as a feedback. But otherwise it's an attracting picture.
DeleteThis comment has been removed by the author.
DeleteI really like the black and white effects because it really suits your picture and it looks very attracting and I'd very creative although you could have added a bit more math terms and such to make your picture more related to math and become even better overall
DeleteI strongly agree with Srushti because it is a great pic and I really like the black and white , the fonts ,the idea of how u wanted to capture it and how you guys shot it in the desk. I think it would have been great if u could add ... Of knowledge at the end of the quote . But I guess it still makes sense since you guys have added math related objects into the photo. So anyways the picture is great!
Delete*its
DeleteI like the black and white theme of the picture it's different from the others and I like how you used math tools like the heads up sheet in the back, great use of snap seed and over the editing is really good.
DeleteBut the quote doesn't really go with the picture so what I would change in that picture is the quote the picture is great but it can be better made.
I agree with Subhan. The whole picture its self is good, I feel like it could have been better. But I still like it. But the quote doesn't not make sense. I mean this is a math poster. The quote would make a excellent motivational quote. I feel like you guys took your picture, then just added a quote. I would say plan more efficiently. But I do like the theme. The editing over all is nicely done. But if I was to change something, like Subhan I would change the quote. Perhaps something more math related. The picture is perfect for adding text. Oh and tilt shift blur your utensils. It looks nice, just the contents is kind of misplaced.
